Ka    A Radar Frequency Band. The set of frequencies between 26.5 and 40 GHz.
Kalman Filter    A filter for combining multiple data sources, usually of different types, to produce an estimate better than any single source.
Kilohertz    One thousand hertz.
Kinematic Surveying    A precision D-GPS surveying technique. The roving user does not need to stop to collect precision information. Meter centimeter level accuracy is available using modern dual-frequency carrier-phase measurement techniques.
Knots    A unit of speed of one nautical mile (nm) per hour.
Knowledge    Information required to develop skills. Job concepts or rules (declarative knowledge) and their interrelationship (structural knowledge). The job-specific content or information which a person has gained through training, education and/or experience. Knowledge is built upon the foundation of mental abilities that a person brings to the situation.
Ku    Radar Frequency Band. The set of frequencies between 12.5 and 18 GHz.
